Ireland offers many advantages to expanding businesses seeking an entry point to the European Union and its population of more than 500 million people.

At a conference March 26 at Duane Morris LLP in Philadelphia, some 50 interested participants learned that businesses with operations in Ireland benefit from barrier-free access to the EU's 28 member countries and what are called its four freedoms — free movement of goods, capital, services, and people. The conference included speakers from Duane Morris, Philip Lee (a Dublin and Brussels based law firm), the Irish and US accounting firms of Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon and Parente Beard, and IDA Ireland.
