Arthur R. Armstrong practices in the areas of commercial litigation and transactional business law. Mr. Armstrong has represented financial institutions, real estate developers, technology companies, and other business entities in litigation matters involving enforcement of creditors' rights, corporate governance, consumer lending, business torts, commercial and residential property development, consumer protection and defense of all manners of lender liability claims as well as various contract disputes. He also has experience in real estate transactions and asset acquisitions.

In 2006, Mr. Armstrong graduated from Temple University, Beasley School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Albert H. Freidman Prize for excellence in legal writing. Mr. Armstrong is also a magna cum laude graduate of Saint Joseph’s University and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Representative Matters

• TD Bank v. Physicians Choice / Gallagher – won summary judgment in rem for TD Bank in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in contract and foreclosure action for two separately mortgaged properties totaling $1.3 million plus per diem interest.
• Obtained on behalf of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. from the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division-Second Judicial Department, an affirmation of a lower court ruling that property transferred pursuant to a judgment imposing a construct trust is transferred subject to the existing lien.
• Obtained non-suit at trial on behalf of a bank on a subcontractor's claims for unjust enrichment and constructive trust related to more than $1 million worth of snow removal work performed by the subcontractor at the Wachovia Center and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
