Azim Chowdhury practices in the areas of intellectual property, with an emphasis in life sciences matters, including food, drug and pharmaceutical law, as well as in litigation. Mr. Chowdhury has experience dealing with regulatory and compliance issues before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, and has represented clients before the Executive Office of Immigration Review Immigration Court. Mr. Chowdhury has also represented numerous clients on a pro bono basis.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Chowdhury served as judicial law clerk for the Honorable Timothy E. Meredith of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. Mr. Chowdhury is a 2006 cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and a graduate of the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business (M.B.A.) and Johns Hopkins University (B.A., B.S.).
Representative Matters
- Successfully obtained asylum before the Executive Office of Immigration Review Immigration Court in Baltimore, Maryland, for a minor from El Salvador who fled his home country because of violence he and his nuclear family faced from an international gang.
