Brian J. Markowitz practices in the area of construction law, representing owners, developers, construction managers, general contractors and design professionals in litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings as well as contract drafting and negotiation. Mr. Markowitz has litigated disputes involving mechanic's liens, delay claims, surety bond claims, change orders, defaults, terminations and design defects.
Mr. Markowitz is also the drafter of New York Lien Law Section 44-b, dealing with necessary parties to a public improvement mechanic's lien foreclosure action.
Mr. Markowitz is a 2001 graduate of Brooklyn Law School and a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta.
