Chauvron S. Regis practices in the area of litigation with concentrations in products liability, cosmetic beauty products, toxic torts and insurance defense representing corporate entities at the state and federal level in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on mass tort, products liability and toxic tort litigation.
Ms. Regis assists with all aspects of the defense of asbestos litigation cases, which includes: filing of initial pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, conducting depositions, preparing and responding to pretrial motions and memoranda, strategizing on legal positions, trial preparation and attendance at trial.
In addition to her trial work, Ms. Regis assists clients in a variety of beauty products-related litigation and transactional matters, including structuring, drafting, negotiating, implementing, reviewing and/or providing legal advice regarding the industry and toxic torts.
Ms. Regis has extensive litigation and courtroom experience and has tried a variety of criminal matters to verdict in the Superior Court of New Jersey. Prior to entering private practice, she served as an assistant deputy public defender for the Office of the Public Defender in Monmouth and Mercer County, New Jersey.
Ms. Regis is actively involved in handling several pro bono matters, and is the co-chair of Duane Morris' 2012 Community Service Project. In the community, Ms. Regis serves on the Board of Directors for the Enterprise Center, a nonprofit organization that provides access to capital, building capacity, business education and economic development opportunities to high-potential, minority entrepreneurs in Philadelphia.
Ms. Regis is a former judicial law clerk to the Honorable Terence P. Flynn, Superior Court of New Jersey, and she is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. She is a 2004 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law and a graduate of Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
