Darlene D. Moreau practices in the area of general civil litigation. Ms. Moreau has represented individual and corporate clients in a wide range of business disputes, including complex commercial, business, healthcare, employment, insurance, and real estate litigations. Ms. Moreau has represented a diverse range of clients in a wide variety of matters in the state and federal courts, including multimillion-dollar business disputes, tort cases and healthcare matters. Ms. Moreau has been selected as a Massachusetts Rising Star in business litigation, a distinction reserved for those deemed to be among the top up-and-coming lawyers in Massachusetts.
Ms. Moreau is a 2000 cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School and a cum laude graduate of Boston College.
Representative Matters
- Represented publicly traded national home builder in multiple disputes in Massachusetts.
- Represented numerous clients as plaintiffs and defendants in Massachusetts General Law chapter 93A litigation involving allegations of unfair competition and deceptive trade practices.
- Acted as co-lead counsel in Massachusetts Superior Court trial for plaintiff in pro bono litigation against state entity alleging violations of the Americans With Disabilities Act and the Eighth Amendment.
- Represented physicians, therapists, emergency-room doctors, pathologists and other healthcare professionals in obtaining resolution of claims against commercial payors or health insurance providers related to the proper payment for healthcare services rendered.
- Represented general partner before arbitration panel in a dispute with limited partner concerning breach of partnership agreement.
- Defended individual directors and officers of medical supply company in securities class action suit.
- Represented medical device company during a federal criminal investigation involving theft of trade secrets.
- Represented major insurance company before arbitration panel concerning various reinsurance disputes.
- Assisted in defense of national cable company in patent infringement suit.
