Edward H. Davis practices in the area of corporate law, including corporate finance, corporate governance, securities, tax, mergers and acquisitions, emerging technology (software, hardware and biotechnology), telecommunications, technology licensing, international transactions, venture capital, intellectual property and litigation.
Over a more than twenty-year period prior to entering private practice, Mr. Davis served in a variety of executive positions with technology and telecommunications companies, including co-founding and serving as general counsel and executive vice president for an intellectual property rights company; general counsel and vice president of a video software company; and in-house tax counsel for a telecommunications company.
Mr. Davis is a member of the State Bar of California as well as the American, National and San Francisco bar associations. He also is a faculty member of the Practising Law Institute for the "Basics of Accounting & Finance." Mr. Davis is a 1977 graduate of the University of San Francisco Law School. He holds an LL.M. in Tax from Golden Gate University School of Law and is a graduate of Gonzaga University. He also studied at the University of Florence and speaks Italian.
