Felicia G. Traub practices in the area of intellectual property law with a concentration on trademark, copyright and unfair competition issues. Ms. Traub has extensive experience counseling clients with regard to all aspects of trademark clearance, maintenance and enforcement domestically and internationally, including managing litigation of infringement and unfair competition actions, as well as advising on image rights and trademark licensing issues. She has particular experience training consumer products marketing business executives and graphics design teams concerning the trademark, copyright and rights of publicity and privacy issues especially pertinent to their trades.
Prior to joining Duane Morris, Ms. Traub was a senior trademark and copyright counsel for seven years at Colgate-Palmolive Company, where she had global jurisdiction over major consumer product categories. She also managed the annual process of renewing thousands of trademark registrations worldwide and the Trademark Department's law student internship program. Prior to her tenure at Colgate-Palmolive, Ms. Traub served as Intellectual Property Counsel at Chanel (Trademark Services, Ltd.) and also practiced for more than seven years as an IP attorney in private practice.
Ms. Traub is a 1993 graduate of New York University School of Law, where she was on the editorial staff of the Journal of International Law and Politics and was awarded the Jack J. Katz Memorial Prize in Entertainment Law. She graduated summa cum laude from Duke University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and received a Duke University Faculty Scholar Award. She is proficient in French and can read Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.

Representative Matters
- In collaboration with trademark counsel in Asia, coordinated the creation of a Chinese- language version of the house mark for a famous U.S. fashion designer for use in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore & Malaysia, taking into consideration political and cultural issues when selecting simplified or traditional characters. Devised a Chinese language trademark which is a close phonetic equivalent of the designer’s brand name and which simultaneously evokes connotations of femininity, elegance and gracefulness in the meaning of each individual Chinese character.
- Drafted trademark licenses for clients in the prestige and mass-market fields of fashion, cosmetics, toiletries and fragrance.
- Was responsible as in-house counsel for all aspects of trademark, copyright and image-rights clearance, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement for the portfolios of numerous international and regional brands for a major international consumer-products company.
- As in-house counsel, managed all aspects of trademark, copyright and image-rights issues related to the development, launch, promotion and intellectual-property protection of hundreds of consumer products worldwide.
- Obtained summary judgment in favor of the Las Vegas Sands in its action against ACE Gaming, LLC for breach of a trademark-licensing agreement regarding the use of the "Sands" trademark.
- Represented a popular television personality in trademark protection, copyright protection and consumer-product merchandizing and licensing.
