Lina M. Brenner focuses her practice on commercial and intellectual property litigation, both trial and appellate. With broad experience on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, Ms. Brenner has tried cases on behalf of international and domestic clients, including individuals and multimillion-dollar companies, in areas as diverse as technology, education and real estate development. Ms. Brenner also specializes in providing advice and counsel on a variety of pre-litigation issues, including commercial contracts, trademark and copyright registrations, technology contract formation and breaches, infringement analyses, employer ownership of creative work product, and informal resolution of disputes over intellectual property and other assets.

She is a member of the American Bar Association, The State Bar of California and The Bar Association of San Francisco. Ms. Brenner is a 1997 graduate of the University of California--Hastings College of the Law and a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles.

Trial Counsel on behalf of a California post-secondary educational institution and its former officers, in a dispute brought by former students, concerning specialized Education Code claims, fraud, breach of contract and consumer claims. Achieved complete defense verdict, saving the school millions of dollars, while recovering entire amount sought on various cross-claims.
Trial Counsel to the world's largest air cargo developer in a commercial dispute with the City of San Francisco, arising from a planned quarter billion-dollar air cargo facility at SFO. Prevailed against San Francisco International Airport, with an unanimous jury verdict finding that the City's Airport staff breached its contractual duties under an Exclusive Negotiation Agreement, by unfairly interfering with the project approval process before the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
Trial Counsel to an international manufacturer of video broadcast equipment in a patent infringement action in California federal district court.
