Lisa W. Representative Matters
- Navigated state licensure and Medicare/Medicaid certification and participation issues for academic medical center's acquisition of community hospital from a for-profit hospital chain.
- Represented state hospital trade association in challenge to design of State's Medicaid managed care program, resulting in major program overhaul.
- Assisted major health system in dispute with payor over millions of dollars of claims owed, resulting in significant payout by payor.
- Assisting numerous health institutions and ERISA-covered benefit programs in implementing and maintaining new patient privacy programs pursuant to federal confidentiality requirements (HIPAA).
- Routinely assists providers with peer review, credentialing, medical staff bylaws and patient safety programs and matters.
