Marianna F. Schenk practices in the area of estates and asset planning. Ms. Schenk has extensive experience advising clients of the most tax-efficient ways to transfer wealth to succeeding generations, both through lifetime gift planning techniques as well as testamentary dispositions. These techniques involve sophisticated tax planning concepts, such as the leveraging of generation-skipping transfer tax exemption and succession planning for family businesses, as well as counseling clients on achieving charitable goals through the use of tax-efficient vehicles, such as charitable remainder trusts and private foundations. Ms. Schenk's practice also involves representing both individual and corporate trustees in matters before the Orphans' Court. In addition, Ms. Schenk has extensive experience in all facets of estate administration, including the preparation of state and federal death tax returns.
In 2005 and 2006, Ms. Schenk was named a Pennsylvania Rising Star. Rising Stars are chosen by their peers as being among the top up-and-coming lawyers 40 years old or younger, or in practice 10 years or less, in Pennsylvania.
