Mona P. Maerz practices in the area of corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Maerz has experience in local, national and international acquisitions and divestitures in a variety of industries, including media, food, chemicals and construction.
Ms. Maerz formerly served as in-house corporate counsel for Cumulus Media, Inc., in which capacity she assisted the general counsel in all legal matters, including contracts, real estate matters, employment matters, FCC compliance and risk management.
Admitted to practice in Georgia, New York and Germany, Ms. Maerz is a member of the Frankfurt Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia. She is a 1994 graduate of the University of Passau, Germany (J.D.), a 2000 graduate of Georgia State University College of Law (J.D.) and a graduate of the University of Georgia (LL.M.). She is fluent in German.

- 30+ mergers/sales/acquisitions of radio stations and/or radio companies nationwide for publicly traded Cumulus Media Inc. (CMLS), the second largest radio station operator in the Unites States, ranging in single deal value from 700,000 to 280 million dollars
- Several leveraged technology buy-outs for small innovative group of professionals, ranging from 3 to 5 million dollars
- 250 million dollar acquisition of resins business by US Fortune 500 manufacturer of chemicals, fibers and plastics worldwide
- Numerous acquisitions of ready mix cement plants and/or companies in the southeastern United States by US subsidiary of international conglomerate, ranging in single deal value from 2 to 7.5 million dollars
- Acquisition of cut foil lidding division with production and distribution facilities in the United States by Canadian member of global packaging group
- Sale of US image guided surgery business by Scandinavian owned supplier of radiation oncology and neurosurgery solutions
- Acquisition of sports magazine and related business for Georgia based publishing company
- Complex internal corporate restructuring of client with national and international operations, including consolidation of US subsidiaries through mergers, asset distributions and dissolutions
