Ray L. Wong practices in the area of litigation with a focus on a variety of business litigation, including employment and other complex civil litigation. He has practiced for more than 29 years in courts throughout California and the United States, representing individual and corporate clients in all facets of civil litigation. Mr. Wong also has served as a mediator and arbitrator, and has testified as an expert consultant and witness in civil litigation.
Mr. Wong is a member of the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Legal Aid Society. Mr. Wong also has served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Bar Association and on the San Francisco Bar Association's Judiciary Committee, having chaired the Judiciary Committee for two years. Mr. Wong has been selected to serve as a mediation panelist in the Early Settlement Program of the San Francisco Court and the San Francisco Bar Association. He is a member of the Bay Area Asian American Bar Association and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
Mr. Wong speaks extensively on a variety of litigation and law firm management issues in forums throughout the United States. He is the co-chair of the ADR/Mediation subcommittee of the American Bar Association's Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the Litigation Section. Mr. Wong will be co-vice-chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee's annual meeting in 2007 and co-chair of the 2008 meeting. In 2006, 2007 and 2008, Mr. Wong was listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He also was listed in Best Lawyers in America, 2008 and 2009 editions, and was named one of Northern California's Super Lawyers in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Admitted to practice law in California and Idaho, Mr. Wong is a 1978 graduate of Harvard Law School and a graduate of the University of Utah, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
