Urvaksh D. Doctor practices in the area of international corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.

Mr. Doctor graduated from King's College London School of Law ("King's") in 2009 with an LL.B. (First Class Honors) and was awarded the Jelf Medal for being the most distinguished student of his class. He was also conferred with the Jeff Price Memorial Scholarship for the best academic performance in the first year annual examinations.

Mr. Doctor obtained his Masters in Law from New York University School of Law in 2010. He also possesses a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honors) degree from Gujarat University, India. Whilst pursuing the latter, Mr. Doctor was awarded the Ganeshmal Pattni Scholarship for the best paper on Statistics in the country.

Mr. Doctor has extensive international mooting experience. He represented the team that won the World Championship in the Richard R. Baxter mooting (memorial) competition. He also won the internal mooting championship at King's as well as a Silver Medal at the London Universities Mooting Shied.

Before commencing his career as a Legal Associate with Duane Morris & Selvam, Mr. Doctor interned with corporate law firms in the United States and India. He also enjoyed a stint as an assistant to the Solicitor General of India.

• Advised on the international legal aspects of the S$112.1 million listing of Global Premium Hotels Limited on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange.
• Advised a major multinational company listed on the NYSE on a potential acquisition of a retail supermarket chain in Indonesia.
