William L. Marchant practices in the area of commercial and employment litigation. Mr. Marchant has experience in a wide range of general commercial litigation, including cases regarding insurance coverage, breach of contract claims, professional negligence (real estate agents and insurance brokers), unfair competition/unfair business practices under California Business and Professions Code Section 17200 et seq., and real estate disputes, including commercial landlord/tenant disputes, quiet title actions, land use litigation, and easement disputes.
Mr. Marchant’s employment litigation experience includes discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination. Mr. Marchant has also counseled companies regarding employment law issues, including American with Disability Act claims and requests for extended disability leave.
Mr. Marchant is a 1991 cum laude graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was a comments editor for the U.S.F. Law Review, and a graduate of the University of California, Davis.
