William M. Bagliebter has a diverse practice that focuses on trusts and estates, estate planning and administration, corporate law, taxation, income and estate tax audits, real estate and litigation supervision. Mr. Bagliebter counsels high net worth individuals with ongoing tax and estate planning advice and general financial guidance. His corporate practice focuses on advice to family-owned and middle-market companies covering a wide range of businesses and industries.
Mr. Bagliebter is a graduate of George Washington University Law School (J.D.) and New York University School of Law (LL.M., Taxation). He received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from Syracuse University.

Representative Matters
- Negotiated a settlement of an arbitration/litigation involving the breakup of a joint venture between a diamond distributor and jewelry designer. Obtained both a temporary restraining order and injunction against client's adversary. These injunctions, along with other technical and strategic decisions, enabled client to negotiate a very favorable settlement.
- Major settlement of a U.S. Tax Court matter on appeal from an Internal Revenue Service determination after an IRS field audit resulted in an assessment against the estate in excess of $7 million. The IRS Appeals Office ultimately agreed with theory of the case and the case was settled, thereby saving client in excess of $7 million.
- Various estate administration matters.
- Negotiated the purchase of a manufacturing company from a bankruptcy trustee in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey.
- Negotiated the purchase of metal gaskets company.
- Negotiated the purchase of trademark and other assets of a retail clothing chain.
- Negotiated a $20,000,000 refinancing for client with major money center financial institution.
- Negotiated the purchase of 175-acre tract of real estate in New Jersey.
- Negotiated the acquisition of a magazine subscription business.
- Negotiated a joint venture agreement between a major diamond distributor and well-known jewelry designer.
- Negotiated a settlement on behalf of a client through NASD Arbitration with major brokerage firm.
- Represented major shareholders in sale of environmental waste management business.
- Created Grantor Retained Annuity Trust with assets in excess of $24MM.
- Represented shareholders in sale of graphic design business.
