Doing Business With The Casinos: A Workshop For Minority- and Female-Owned Firms

Duane Morris partner Nolan N. Atkinson, Jr. will moderate a workshop at the Pennsylvania Gaming Congress directed toward helping firms owned by minorities and women to capitalize on the emerging Pennsylvania gaming industry. The Pennsylvania Gaming Congress will take place at the Whitaker Center and attached Harrisburg Hilton in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on March 6-7, 2006.
The Pennsylvania gaming act has the stated goal to "promote and ensure diversity in all aspects of the gaming activities." The Pennsylvania Gaming Congress will help advance this goal by presenting a special session titled "Doing Business With The Casinos: A Workshop For Minority- and Female-Owned Firms."
"We look forward to a through discussion on this subject and answering the questions posed by attendees," said Mr. Atkinson. Mr. Atkinson chairs the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group Inc. as well as Duane Morris' Diversity Committee.
The panelists at the workshop will include:

- Michael Randazzo, Corporate Director of Purchasing, Penn National Gaming

- Emily White, Director, Duane Morris Government Affairs
The Pennsylvania Gaming Congress, expected to attract hundreds of gaming- related professionals nationwide, takes place at the Whitaker Center and the attached Harrisburg Hilton. The conference includes an evening cocktail reception, followed by an intensive daylong program featuring Pennsylvania gaming regulators, Pennsylvania racino operators, Wall Street analysts, land- use and zoning experts, as well as an exhibition area.
