Duane Morris of counsel Mitchell L. Lathrop will speak about "The Subtle Differences in International Arbitration Rules" at the International Arbitration, Mediation and Litigation program presented by the Center for International Legal Studies on February 11-17, 2007.
At the conference, ten specialist panels will examine such contemporary issues as the decision to arbitrate and the alternatives, cultural considerations in international arbitration, the agreement to arbitrate, appointment of arbitrators, institutional rules, interim measures, international context of alternate dispute, pre-hearing management, use of experts, drafting the arbitration clause, discovery, mediating disputes, enforcement of mediated settlement agreements, banking and finance litigation, securities litigation, litigation and confidentiality agreements, litigating real estate transactions, environmental litigation, litigating patent - trademark and copyright, shareholder litigation, enforcement of judgments, and damages.
The retreat provides five days of early morning and late afternoon sessions that are certified for 2.4 hours CLE and/or 2 hours CPD credit (per 120-min conference session attended).
