Mitch Lathrop and Thomas Newman to Speak at Lorman's "Update on Insurance Issues" Seminar

Mitchell L. Lathrop and Thomas R. Newman will both speak at the Lorman seminar titled "Update on Insurance Issues" on February 13, 2008. The seminar will be held at the Tudor Hotel at the United Nations in New York City. Mitch will be speaking on "International Arbitration of Insurance and Reinsurance Disputes" from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Tom's session is titled "The Nuts and Bolts of an International Insurance Arbitration Under the Bermuda Form and How It Differs from a U.S. Reinsurance Arbitration," will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Mitchell Lathrop focuses his practice on international arbitration, insurance and reinsurance law, and complex and securities litigation. He is a Fellow in the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a member of the London Court of International Arbitration. Mr. Lathrop is a diplomate in international arbitration law of the College of Law of England and Wales.
Thomas Newman focuses his practice on insurance and reinsurance law, including arbitration and litigation. He is also an experienced appellate practitioner. He is a member of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, a permanent member of the American Law Institute, the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, a Fellow of the New York State Bar Association Foundation, and a certified arbitrator by ARIAS-U.S.
