Duane Morris partner Jane L. Wexton will moderate the program "The Globalization of Corporate Compliance Standards - Is Globalization Driving Convergence?" at the American Bar Association Section of International Law's 2008 Spring Conference, to be held on April 2, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt New York hotel.
About the Program
Corporate Counsel
Globalization has brought with it a convergence of compliance initiatives around the world. Anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, data privacy, anti-trust, anti-terrorism, and export control regulations have developed at an ever-faster pace, with enforcement officials from around the world collaborating and cooperating in unprecedented ways. Multinational corporations must focus increasing efforts on developing ethics and compliance programs that meet standards around the globe. This panel will discuss and debate how convergence is changing the role of both corporate counsel and outside counsel in dealing with compliance and enforcement demands in this era of globalization.
Co-Sponsoring Committees:
Anti-Corruption Committee, International Anti-Money Laundering and Professional Ethics Committee, Export Controls and Economic Sanctions Committee, International Criminal Law Committee, International Antitrust Committee, and International Corporate Counsel Committee.
