Duane Morris Sponsors Women in Technology Luncheon, "Powerful Women . . . Powerful Choices"

Duane Morris LLP will sponsor a Women in Technology luncheon, "Powerful Women . . . Powerful Choices," presented by the New Jersey Technology Council, at Forsgate Country Club in Jamesburg, New Jersey, on July 31, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include a panel discussion, moderated by Duane Morris partner Susan Okin Goldsmith, featuring women leaders in industry, technology, academia and government. The panel will discuss their experiences as women leaders in today's fast-paced world of business, academia and government.

Saki Dodelson, Co-founder, Achieve 3000
Saki Dodelson has over 20 years' experience in business, finance, computer science and marketing. In 2000 she founded and became CEO of Achieve 3000, an educational technology company that delivers differentiated instruction in reading and writing via the Webb. Saki was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young/Microsoft, a "Hall of Fame" entrepreneur by the New Jersey Business Journal, and one of New Jersey's Best 50 Women in Business by the New Jersey Business Journal.
Diane Dorland, Dean, College of Engineering, Rowan University
Dean Dorland is a licensed professional engineer with industry experience at DuPont, Union Carbide and the Department of Energy, with expertise in the areas of pollution prevention and hazardous waste management for a variety of industries. She served as the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at West Virginia University for 10 years before joining Rowan University as Engineering dean in 2000.
Nina Mitchell Wells, Esq., New Jersey Secretary of State
Secretary Wells is responsible for one of the premier departments in New Jersey state government. She oversees the Department of State's operating agencies, including Archives and Records Management, the New Jersey Historical Commission, the New Jersey Council on the Arts, the Governor's Office of Volunteerism and the New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism. Prior to her appointment as Secretary of State, Secretary Wells was president of the Schering-Plough Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Schering-Plough Corporation, and VP of Public Affairs.
Susanne Svizeny, Regional President, Central and Southern NJ, Wachovia Bank
Susanne Svizeny is the regional president of Wachovia Bank?s central and southern New Jersey region, responsible for leading the bank's broad sales, service and growth strategies, as well as its community involvement activities throughout the Southern New Jersey area. Susanne was named one of Top 50 Women in Business by NJBIZ and is a recipient of New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners Rose and Scroll Award.
Susan Okin Goldsmith, Partner, DuaneMorris LLP, Moderator
Susan Okin Goldsmith focuses on domestic and foreign trademark clearance and registration, infringement matters and intellectual property licensing. She also handles matters involving computer hardware and software vendors and purchasers, software licensing, e-commerce and Internet use and abuse.
