Duane Morris partner Sheila Slocum Hollis will be speaking at the 6th Annual B.C. Power Summit, to be held on March 10-11, 2009, in Vancouver. Ms. Hollis will speak on the topic of "Meeting Expectations for Reliability, Safety, Affordability and Sustainability: Pacific Canada and Beyond" on Tuesday, March 10, at 10 a.m.
In her presentation, she will discuss the following:
- Reliability – the solutions fall into place;
- Functioning of the markets/tweaking continues;
- New emphasis on oversight, investigation and enforcement at FERC;
- Reconsideration of nuclear, alternate energy, clean coal, demand response;
- Where are we post-election; and
- Increasing dependence on Canadian supply
