Duane Morris' annual Spring Real Estate Roundtable Series on Developments in Real Estate Law and Practice is intended to provide our clients and friends with an update of important real estate law developments and best practices that may impact their business.
This year, the Duane Morris Real Estate group will be holding a roundtable series on Strategies for Buying and Selling Distressed Real Estate and Other Assets. Before purchasing property that is in distress or acquiring a loan or interests in an entity that owns distressed property, several issues should be fully examined in order to determine the full ramifications of such an acquisition. We will discuss issues involved in buying and selling distressed real estate assets. Issues such as the preparation of purchase and sale agreements, analysis of loan documents, and due diligence will be explored. Topics include:
- Considerations When Purchasing Distressed Real Estate
- Considerations When Purchasing Real Estate Loans
- The Effect of a Bankruptcy Filing and Acquisitions under the Bankruptcy Code
This seminar series offers lively, thought-provoking discussions with practical information you can immediately and effectively implement. Sessions will be interactive; participants are encouraged to ask questions and engage in a dialogue with our speakers and invited guests.
