About the ABA's 15th Annual Federal Procurement Institute
Today's ubiquitous promise of change is surely the harbinger of new and difficult challenges tomorrow. Federal procurement will continue to be at or near the center of the Government's attempts to deal with foreign threats and domestic crises. What legislative and regulatory initiatives may be expected with a new administration as it attempts to bring change to solving old problems and resolving new concerns? How will contractors deal with attention to heightened concern for environmental responsibility and with mandatory disclosure requirements? How will international procurement be affected by the changed economic environment, both in the U.S. and abroad? In short, in a changing world, this 15th Annual Federal Procurement Institute asks the question: "Where is federal procurement 'going'?"
