Duane Morris partner Richard H. Lowe will be the keynote speaker at a Microsol Resources' Executive Breakfast Series program on the topic of "New BIM Contracts: A Legal Perspective," to be held on July 16, 2009, in New York City. The seminar is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
About the Program
No one can deny that implementing BIM is more than just a technical/CAD decision. When utilizing BIM technologies and methods to deliver a project, you cannot separate software "picks and clicks" from your core management and business decisions - especially contracts. This is especially true on projects where everyone from architects to sub-contractors and manufacturers are now contributing 3D data to a "federated model." In this environment it becomes absolutely critical to address basic questions of ownership, risk and reward. In this program, Mr. Lowe will address the many questions now facing AEC professionals in a BIM world.
