Duane Morris partners Sandra A. Jeskie and John M. Neclerio will be speaking at the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw) Annual European Conference, to be held on November 5-6, 2009, in Brussels, Belgium. Ms. Jeskie will be speaking on the topic of "Open Source," taking place on November 6 from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. This program will explore the following:
- Latest legal developments in Europe and U.S. relating to open source software
- Open source in M&A deals
- Unlocking the potential of open source in the public sector
Mr. Neclerio will be speaking on the topic of "I Health and Health IT (HIT)" on November 6 from 4:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The issues to be discussed during this session are:
- Critical provisions in your healthcare technology contracts
- Electronic Medical Records initiatives: a comparison of U.S. and EU practices in this growing area of importance, including developments in the U.S. under the HITECH Act
