Duane Morris Partner Katherine Benesch to Speak at the 2010 Conflict Prevention & Resolution Annual Meeting
January 14, 2010 | New York City
| International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution
Duane Morris partner Katherine Benesch will be speaking at the 2010 Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) Annual Meeting: Global ADR: The New Reality, to be held on January 14-15, 2010, in New York City. Ms. Benesch will participate in a panel discussion on the topic of "ADR and Healthcare—from Big Pharma to Patients' Rights" on Thursday, January 14, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Perhaps the most significant issue facing the United States today is the soaring coast of healthcare. Professionals from healthcare-related industries will address opportunities and practical suggestions for saving costs through better dispute management in the healthcare and life sciences fields. This panel will focus on the unique challenges faced by various industry players and how to best meet and resolve these issues, whether by mediation or other dispute resolution mechanisms.
About the 2010 CPR Annual Meeting
Our eight panels will include an outstanding group of leading general counsel, attorneys, international arbitration and mediation professionals, and top academics. Each will offer their knowledge on an array of relevant topics, including recent Supreme Court decisions, ADR use in Asia, the role of ADR in bankruptcy, conflict prevention techniques, ethics and the future of ADR. As in previous years, we will begin with CPR's popular general counsel panel, who will discuss how their companies have adapted their ADR use to recent business challenges.
