Duane Morris partner Eberhard H. Röhm will serve as panel chair of a discussion at the joint meeting of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Section and the Union Internationale des Avocats, to be held on September 13–14, 2010, in New York City. The focus of the program is "Cross-Border Transactions, Business Formations and Investments: Legal Aspects, Business Trends and How Lawyers Can Add Value."
Mr. Röhm will chair a panel discussion on the topic of "Establishing Businesses/Investments in the U.S." on Monday, September 13, from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. The panel will address inward investment to the United States, including key issues surrounding the green-field formation of business entities (and financing arrangements relating thereto); subsidiaries; and joint ventures in the United States—such as tax aspects, differences between states, employment laws, liabilities issues, licensing and permitting, etc.
