Duane Morris Partner Sheila Hollis to Speak at Women's Council on Energy and the Environment "Brown Bag" Program
August 3, 2010 | Washington, D.C.
| Duane Morris LLP
Duane Morris partner Sheila Slocum Hollis will be speaking at a Women's Council on Energy and the Environment (WCEE) "Brown Bag" program on the topic of "Gulf Oil Spill—Impacts and Costs," which will take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.
About the Program
The April 20, 2010, explosion and subsequent collapse of the Deepwater Horizon rig that killed 11 people has resulted in the release of an estimated 100 million gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico. It is now the worst oil spill in the United States to date. The impacts and costs of the spill continue to accumulate and broaden, even as the rate of spilling oil declines.
This "Brown Bag" lunch presentation, the first in a series of programs that will examine issues relating to the spill, will focus on impacts and costs. Please join us as our panelists examine the local, regional and international environmental and economic consequences of this incident.
