Mr. Battipaglia will be a panelist in a plenary session on the topic of "Jury Selection—Leading-edge Tools and Techniques" on Friday, April 15, from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. Juries are constantly changing. The makeup of the jury many times can be outcome determinative. This session will focus on the latest studies and techniques in selecting a jury. This study of human behavior should be of interest to the litigator and transactional lawyer determining which dispute resolution provision to recommend to his or her client.
Ms. Rodriguez-Taseff will be a panelist in a plenary session on the topic of "Law Firm Diversity Best Practices: The Essential Tools to Starting and Maintaining an Effective Diversity Initiative for Hiring and Retention" on Saturday, April 16, from 8:20 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. The program will address: (1) importance of diversity within a law firm; (2) development of a diversity committee within a law firm and (3) sustainability of an effective diversity committee.
Mr. Toomey and Ms. Singh will participate in the Joint Division 1 and Division 9 breakfast program on dealing with difficult opposing counsel in construction cases on Friday, April 15.
