Duane Morris partner Robert Byer will be speaking on the subject of "Preserving Issues at Trial and on Appeal" at an Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) program on Thursday, December 15, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Failure to preserve issues during or after trial or on appeal is potentially catastrophic. For attorneys unaccustomed to these rules and the potential mechanisms for waiver, however, inadvertent waiver occurs often. This program will address the numerous pitfalls and potential avenues for waiver, and best practices for preserving issues both in the federal and state courts.
