Duane Morris Partner Ron Oliner to Speak on "Talking Chapter 9- Municipal Bankruptcy Cases"

Duane Morris partner Ron Oliner will be speaking on the subject of "Talking Chapter 9- Municipal Bankruptcy Cases" on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. The discussion, presented by The Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco, will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m (Pacific time) with lunch provided.
Speakers will discuss the major categories of California municipal debt, along with possible bankruptcy implications. Vallejo's bankruptcy case, including why the city entered Chapter 9, and what can be learned from such an instance, will also be explored. Finally, presenters will provide an in-depth explanation of Chapter 9 and how it compares to Chapter 11.
