Duane Morris Partner Dominica Anderson to Speak on "The Perils of Claims Involving Multiple Insureds"
May 10, 2012 | Washington, D.C.
| JW Marriott Hotel
Duane Morris partner Dominica Anderson will speak on the subject of "The Perils of Claims Involving Multiple Insureds" at the Annual Physician Insurers Association of America 2012 Medical Liability Conference in Washington, D.C. on May 10, 2012, from 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The 2012 PIAA Medical Liability Conference brings together a wide range of participants, including chief executive officers, actuaries, senior managers and other insurance professionals, corporate and defense counsel of MPL companies, as well as physicians, dentists, and other healthcare providers. This conference, unique in the industry, provides comprehensive coverage on the topics and issues attendees need to be aware of and understand to work at a high level in MPL insurance.
Large claims rarely involve just one defendant. All too often, a single carrier can end up with two, three, or more defendants in a single case. Balancing the frequently competing interests of multiple parties can present real challenges for MPL companies worldwide. "Perils of Claims Involving Multiple Insureds" will explore the varying dimensions of those challenges from both a national and international perspective. The presenters will offer concrete strategies for mitigating the inherent risks in dealing with claims involving multiple insureds, including those presented by inadequate limits, shared limits, and other common scenarios.
