Duane Morris Partner Stanley Kaminski to Speak at Illinois State Bar Association Seminar on "Charitable Property Tax Exemptions in Illinois: Evolution or Revolution?"
March 13, 2012 | Chicago
| The John Marshall Law School
Duane Morris partner Stanley R. Kaminski will speak at a seminar sponsored by ISBA State and Local Tax Section and the ISBA Health Care Law Section on "Charitable Property Tax Exemptions in Illinois: Evolution or Revolution?" on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Mr. Kaminski will be a member of two panels, the first on "Illinois Constitutional Amendment to Consider" and the second on "New Decisions, New Legislation, and New Standards."
"Illinois Constitutional Amendment to Consider" will explore the various entities that may—or may not— be effected by an Illinois Constitutional amendment, and whether the amendment would be confined to healthcare entities only, or would apply to charitable entities more generally. The ending panel discussion on "New Decisions, New Legislation, and New Standards" focuses on both current law and potential changes to the charitable property tax exemptions in Illinois.
