Duane Morris Partner Mauro Wolfe to Speak on "Ethics and Anti-Corruption Enforcement"
July 12, 2012 | New York City
| Practising Law Institute
Duane Morris partner Mauro Wolfe will be a panelist at the Practising Law Institute's (PLI) seminar on Doing Deals in and with Emerging Markets: BRIC and Beyond 2012 on Thursday, July 12, 2012. Mr. Wolfe will be part of a panel discussion on the subject of "Ethics and Anti-Corruption Enforcement."
With emerging markets, like those of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) countries, playing an ever greater role in the global economy, attorneys and other professionals facilitating cross-border transactions need to familiarize themselves with the world outside the Group of Eight. After all, according to a recent OECD study, emerging markets will account for over 60% of global economic output by 2030. This program will provide a comprehensive overview of the most pressing legal issues implicated in international dealmaking in and with emerging markets.
"Ethics and Anti-Corruption Enforcement" focuses on the possible ethical issues clients and their attorneys may face while facilitating international transactions, and how parties can navigate these issues successfully. The panel will also explore varying corporate cultures, and how to avoid impropriety when conducting business across borders.
