Duane Morris Partner John Nixon to Discuss "The Bells and Whistles of Persuasion"
July 20, 2012 | Philadelphia
| Pennsylvania Convention Center
Duane Morris partner John Nixon will be a panelist discussing "The Bells and Whistles of Persuasion" as part of the City of Philadelphia's Law Department's two-day CLE program on "Life in the Big City XVIII," taking place on Friday, July 20, 2012.
In "The Bells and Whistles of Persuasion," panelists will explain effective communication skills for trial, client meetings, and negotiating contracts and settlements. Tools of persuasion will be addressed as well. This panel will discuss practical and effective ways to persuade a judge and jury to see the fine points of your case and to minimize the strong points of plaintiff's claims. This panel will also focus on persuasion for transactional attorneys with both the client and the vendor. A successful attorney will help clients understand what legal terms are critical and why. At the same time, when negotiating a contract, an attorney must exercise skill and diplomacy to successfully advocate for terms most important to a client.
Attendees are eligible for 12 credit hours of CLE, 11 substantive and 1 ethics. To register, please contact Jane Shaw by July 12.
