Duane Morris partner Sheila Raftery Wiggins will present a one-hour ethics course on "Ethical Considerations When Dealing With Distressed Property" as part of the full-day National Business Institute (NBI) seminar concerning New Jersey Foreclosures and Workouts on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Newark, New Jersey.
The "Ethical Considerations" course will cover recent cases in New Jersey state and federal courts which impact attorneys handling financial services litigation, including lawsuits involving fraudulent lending practices, borrowers' fraud, and debt collection. Speakers will examine the client-lawyer relationship; conflicts of interest; lender liability issues; mortgage foreclosure defense; and attorneys' fees and expenses.
