Duane Morris to Co-Sponsor the Crystal Academy Primary School Fundraiser

Duane Morris is pleased to co-sponsor, in conjunction with Crave Restaurant, the Crystal Academy Primary School Fundraiser on Thursday, September 20, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Crystal Academy is a center dedicated to early and intense therapeutic interventions for children diagnosed with autism and related developmental delays. The center has operated in Coral Gables since September 2009, and has enjoyed incredible support from the community and heartwarming successes with the children. Children frequently reach school-age prepared to learn but ill-equipped for the pace and environmental stresses of a neuro-typical classroom environment. In response to those needs, the Crystal Academy Primary School (CAPS) will open in the fall of this year.
The mission of CAPS is to provide a special-needs modified academic program for grades K through 3 that emphasizes achievable academic growth, self-sufficiency, appropriate social interaction and problem solving through mathematics, language arts and the sciences, as well as behavioral, speech/language, occupational therapy and planned social development opportunities. CAPS's ultimate goal will be to advance its students’ academic education at the optimal rate within the challenges of their neurological disorders while maximizing their chances of joining neuro-typical peers in more-advanced academic levels.
