Duane Morris partners Daniel Toomey and Albert Bates, Jr., along with of counsel Albert Carr, Jr., will be speaking at sessions during the Construction SuperConference 2012, which runs from December 12 through December 14 in San Francisco. Mr. Toomey will discuss "Using Your Expert like an Expert" in a morning session on Thursday, December 13. Later that day, Mr. Bates will moderate "The Outlook for Construction in the Power Industry Over the Next Decade," which also includes Mr. Carr as a panelist.
In "Using Your Expert Like an Expert," an interactive panel of lawyers, including partner Daniel Toomey, CPAs and project engineers will discuss the key elements involved in getting the most from your expert witness. The discussion will cover expert selection, how to best use an expert, lessons learned from historical case studies, and points taken from judicial comments.
"The Outlook for Construction in the Power Industry Over the Next Decade," a Duane Morris-sponsored panel, brings together panel of senior power industry professionals in a lively discussion, moderated by partner Albert Bates, Jr., on the outlook for nuclear, coal, gas and renewable energy power generation projects over the next decade. The panelists, including partner Albert Carr, will discuss, among other things, the effect of current regulatory and political challenges, historically low gas prices, green energy initiatives, and emerging technologies which currently do, or in the future, will impact construction in the power industry.
