Duane Morris partner Daniel Toomey will serve as Program Director of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy's (NITA) Advanced Trial Advocacy Program from Tuesday, November 6, 2012 to Monday, November 12, 2012.
The Advanced Advocacy Program is specifically designed for practitioners with trial experience. Working together in trial teams and alongside experienced NITA trial lawyers and jury consultants from across the country, attendees will use cutting-edge focus group techniques and data as a tool for case planning. They will identify the problems associated with cases, solve problems through an analysis of actual focus group data, develop a plan of action for trial and perform opening statements, direct/cross-examinations of fact and expert witness, and closing arguments. There will also be the opportunity to meet with faculty members and communications consultants.
The program will begin with check-in at 3:30 p.m. at the U.S. District Court of DC on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. On Thursday, November 8, 2012 the program will move and also conclude at the Georgetown University Law Center. This program also qualifies as one credit toward the NITA Master Advocate Designation.
