 Michael Gradisek

Duane Morris partners Michael Gradisek and Kevin Vance will speak on "Employer Issues and Advance Planning for Compliance with the Employer Mandate under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" at the February meeting of the Miami ASIS International Chapter. The session will take place on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the The University of Miami Life Science Building from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Gradisek and Mr. Vance will provide an overview of recent IRS guidance and include a discussion and explanation of an employer’s status under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as well as the impact of employee classifications (full-time, part-time, on-going, new hires, rehires). They will also discuss how the potential for annual penalties are applied, along with the concepts of “minimum essential coverage” and what coverage to “substantially all” full time employees really means. Finally, there will be a discussion of what these concepts mean to companies and how employee benefit plans will be impacted.

For more information, or to register for the event please visit the ASIS website.
