Duane Morris Special Counsel Kenneth Shropshire to Participate in the Athlete Development Professional Certification Program

Kenneth ShropshireDuane Morris special counsel Kenneth Shropshire will serve as faculty director for The Wharton School's Athlete Development Professional Certification Program held in Philadelphia. There will be three sessions of the program: April 23-25, June 20-21, and July 30-August 1.

As athletic engagement professionals continue to grow in importance to sports organizations it is more critical than ever that they possess not just a passion for sports, but consistent, applicable management and leadership skills and relevant business acumen. A joint venture between Wharton Executive Education and the National Football League developed in conjunction with the Wharton Sports Business Initiative, the Athlete Development Professional Certification Program will provide attendees with the business skills to work more effectively with players, their families and key stakeholders, and become a well-respected and valued member of an organization's team. The program will help develop essential management and leadership skills, including critical thinking and decision making; negotiation; influence and persuasion; finance for the sports professional and collegiate athlete; and crisis and media communications.
