Duane Morris Partner Stanley Kaminski to Discuss "Services Sales and Use Tax Issues"
May 1, 2013 | Atlanta
| Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center
Duane Morris partner Stanley Kaminski will discuss "Services Sales and Use Tax Issues" at the Council On State Taxation (COST) 2013 Intermediate/Advanced Sales Tax School on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
The states want more revenue but they do not want to face the wrath of the voters by increasing the state and/or local sales and use tax rates. Increasingly, the states have augmented the revenue base by taxing more services. Often, the burden of the expanded tax base falls squarely on the business sector. "Services Sales and Use Tax Issues" will help attendees sort out the different sales and use taxes imposed on services that impact business and provide tips on minimizing exposure to these taxes.
The COST 2013 Intermediate/Advanced Sales Tax School is a 4-day program for tax attorneys and accountants with more than three years of multi-state corporate tax experience, involved in either compliance or planning functions. The school emphasizes the practical applications of state tax issues in a corporate environment, with courses taught using case studies.
