Duane Morris Partner Sheila Hollis to Serve as Delegate for World Justice Forum IV
July 8, 2013 | The Hague, Netherlands
Duane Morris partner Sheila Hollis will serve as a delegate for the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER) at the World Justice Forum IV, to be held July 8-11, 2013, at The Hague, Netherlands.
The Forum will engage more than 500 dignitaries, leaders, and innovators from more than 100 nations to work on developing practical and varied programs to strengthen the rule of law. The discussion will center on the World Justice Project's (WJP) groundbreaking work, including the Rule of Law Index®, an impressive and ambitious project assessing how nations apply their laws in practice.
Leaders of the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources have participated in the WJP since its inception, have attended all three previous WJF forums, and are taking a lead role with the WJP in developing the first global Environmental Rule of Law Index. Continuing SEER's support and cooperation of the WJP, SEER will send six delegates to WJF IV. As in the past, SEER's participation will focus on expanding the discussion of environment, energy, and resources issues at WJF IV while furthering the Environmental Rule of Law Index and communicating with the attendees regarding SEER's upcoming international environmental law book. At the WJF, SEER is organizing and supporting breakout sessions to continue EER discussions raised during the plenary session that were focused on environmental governance, environmental conflict resolution, measuring environmental outcomes, and water security.
