Beyond the Boundaries: The New Law of Patentable Subject Matter with Professor Jeffrey Lefstin
June 9, 2010 | San Francisco
| Duane Morris LLP
Duane Morris LLP will host a University of California, Hastings College of the Law alumni event, "Beyond the Boundaries: The New Law of Patentable Subject Matter," with Professor Jeffrey Lefstin, on June 9, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Duane Morris' San Francisco office.
About the Event
The Supreme Court has decided more patent cases in the last five years than it has in a generation. Amidst claims that the patent system is out of control, Congress is poised to enact the most significant reforms to the patent system since the 1952 Patent Act. During this time of ferment, courts are re-examining fundamental assumptions about the scope of the patent system itself.
Professor Lefstin discusses the roots of today's ferment and the current landscape of patent law, including the implications of the Supreme Court's Biksi case and others for the software and biotechnology industries.
MCLE Credit available.
