The American Bar Association conducted its first-ever Women’s Day on the Hill Wednesday, as approximately 40 women lawyers met with Congressional members to discuss issues of importance to women.
The ABA members, representing a variety of ABA-entity involvement, areas of expertise, and states from Florida to Illinois and Massachusetts to Texas, were welcomed at a breakfast meeting by Estelle Rogers and Sheila Hollis. That was followed by remarks from ABA President William C. Hubbard and ABA President-elect Paulette Brown.
As with so many issues the ABA tackles, the voice of lawyers makes a difference when the concerns of women are presented effectively to our decision makers.
