Duane Morris Vietnam Takes Lead Role in Hanel Co. Ltd. Buyout of Hotel Joint Venture

Duane Morris Vietnam partners Oliver Massmann, Giles Cooper, and [Senior Qualifying Attorney] Hoang Minh Duc have taken the lead role acting for Vietnamese state-owned consumer electronics company Hanel Co. Ltd. on its buyout of a hotel joint venture. Under the terms of the deal, Hanel has paid Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. $100 million for the Korean company's 70-percent stake in the Daewoo Hotel, Hanoi. The buyout gives Hanel sole ownership of the hotel. Daewoo Engineering's legal advisors on the deal are partner Le Thi Hoa of Kelvin Chia Partnership in Vietnam and Yulchon in Korea.
