Adam Taliaferro Foundation Hosts 21st Annual All-star Football Classic

CHERRY HILL, N.J., May 19, 2011—The Adam Taliaferro Foundation, founded by Duane Morris attorney and former Pennsylvania State University football player Adam Taliaferro, is hosting its 21st annual All-star Football Classic. This football game features the best graduating high school seniors—as selected by their coaches—from southern New Jersey. The game is on Thursday, June 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Rowan University football stadium in Glassboro, N.J. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by contacting David Maxwell at 856.582.0212. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Adam Taliaferro Foundation.
Adam Taliaferro is the founding board member of the Adam Taliaferro Foundation. He is an attorney in Duane Morris' Cherry Hill office and practices in the area of employment law and litigation. Taliaferro represents clients in a variety of employment law matters and in the gaming industry in a wide range of legal matters. He has helped clients with National Football League (NFL) contracts and has planned and formed limited liability companies on behalf of professional athletes in the NFL and the National Basketball Association.
On September 23, 2000, as a freshman at Pennsylvania State University, Taliaferro suffered a spinal-cord injury after tackling an opponent headfirst during a football game. He was told that he had only a small chance of ever walking again due to the injury, but was able to overcome his paralysis and he walked out of the Magee Rehabilitation Hospital just four months later.
Taliaferro has received many awards, including the 2009 Philadelphia Sports Writers Humanitarian Award and Bank of America's Neighborhood Excellence Initiative Award. He was also the honorary chairman for the 2002 Special Olympics Summer Games. Taliaferro is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law – Camden and a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.

The Adam Taliaferro Foundation provides emotional, financial and educational support to student-athletes who suffer catastrophic head or spinal injuries in sanctioned team events in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
