CHICAGO, June 10, 2014—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Tomas M. Thompson and Mark A. Bradford have joined the firm's Trial Practice Group as partners in the firm's Chicago office. Thompson and Bradford, who join from DLA Piper, follow the addition in the firm's Chicago office of partners Mark D. Belongia and Lisa T. Scruggs, associate David B. Shafer and associate Brian L. Dougherty.

Tom Thompson represents clients, including global financial institutions, software companies and executives, in resolving litigation and arbitration matters across the United States. His experience includes mass torts, trade secrets, government investigations, fraud, and insurance and reinsurance claims in state and federal courts. Thompson regularly counsels clients on cutting-edge electronic discovery and technology issues, focusing on mitigating the cost and increasing the efficiency of e-discovery.

Thompson earned his J.D. in 2001 with honors from University of Montana School of Law, where he was an editor of the Public Land and Resources Law Review. He earned his A.B., magna cum laude, in Political Science and French in 1997 from Wabash College.

Mark Bradford focuses his practice on representing reinsurance, insurance, financial services, professional service firms, individuals and industrial clients with a particular emphasis on complex commercial litigation. Bradford has represented clients in federal and state courts and in arbitration proceedings throughout the U.S. Bradford is secretary-treasurer of the Lawyers Club of Chicago.

Bradford earned his J.D. in 2004, summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, from University of Illinois College of Law, where he was an editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. He earned his B.A. in Psychology in 2001 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
