Duane Morris New York Office Adds Trial Partner Andrew Thomas Hahn, Sr.
NEW YORK, March 21, 2011—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Andrew Thomas Hahn, Sr., has joined the firm’s Trial Practice Group as a partner in its New York office. Hahn’s arrival further strengthens Duane Morris’ growing Trial Practice Group in New York. He joins Duane Morris from Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
Hahn focuses his practice on commercial litigation involving all contractual matters, including insurance, employment, software licensing, franchising, lease, banking and other corporate disputes. He has also litigated class actions in the areas of insurance, antitrust, consumer fraud, securities, products liability and toxic torts and has experience in litigation involving complex technology. Hahn is also certified by the American Arbitration Association as an arbitrator.
Previously, Hahn was a captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and in the honors program of the Office of the Chief Counsel of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Hahn has served as the president of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association as well as the Asian American Bar Association of New York. He has served as chairman of the board of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York and served on the judiciary committee of the New York City Bar Association.
A frequent speaker on many topics including diversity in the legal profession, Hahn has been honored by Diversity MBA Magazine’s Top 100 Under 50 Diverse Executive Leaders for 2009. The Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York honored Hahn with its Trailblazers Award and Diversity & The Bar named Hahn “The Best of the Best” in the area of Labor and Employment.
Hahn earned his J.D. in 1986 from Cornell Law School and his M.B.A. in 1988 from Marymount University. He earned his A.B., cum laude, in 1983 from Cornell University while on a U.S. Army ROTC scholarship and was designated a Distinguished Military Graduate.
